The problem

Ananda Lodge needed reservations, room status, housekeeping, maintenance and billing to stay in sync at the front desk in real time, instead of living across a register book and separate memory.

The solution

A Front Desk Management System (FDMS) with a Google Sheets backend (via a full Google Apps Script API), available both as an installable web app (PWA, offline-capable) and as an Electron.js Windows desktop edition with local-first storage and two-way cloud sync — so the front desk keeps working through a connectivity drop either way.

Reservations & room board

Bookings and a visual room board with an edit flow that reuses the reservation modal for quick updates.

Housekeeping & maintenance

Dedicated modules tracking room-cleaning status and maintenance issues alongside daily operations.

Billing & expenditure

Guest billing plus a full expenditure CRUD module for day-to-day lodge expenses.

Daily room register reports

PDF reports generated per register slot, rooms listed in order, for daily front-desk record-keeping.

Role-based room editing

Room-detail editing restricted to admin accounts; staff retain full add/remove/view access.

Offline-first & dark mode

PWA offline support with a service worker, plus a full dark-mode theme with a persisted preference.
